The Animation Film Award (アニメーション映画賞) is an award given to the best animated feature film at the Mainichi Film Awards. The award was established to reward large scale cinematic animation, enabling the Oofuji Noburou Award to focus on shorter pieces. This award was first presented in 1989 for Kiki's Delivery Service by Hayao Miyazaki. Anime where the story takes place mostly in rural areas or far from urban cities. This list contains all movies that aren't related with any anime series. The "Scotland Loves Anime" film festival takes place every October in Glasgow and Edinburgh. It was started in 2010 and includes the "Golden Partridge" jury award and audience-voted awards. I have compiled the animes that have achieved a certain quality with their story and animation and are loved by the majority, with my own short titles. If you don't have much time and are looking for an anime movie, you can check this list. Everyone knows Studio Ghibli's amazing work, but what about the other studios? Is it true that there's no better salvation than not being born in this world? Is the world that ugly that it's not worth living in? Should I even give it a chance? Collection of films and OVAs (and one TV series) that "feel" like Ghibli films, but aren't related to the studio and aren't connected to its canon lineup.
