While there are plenty of old mangas that have the specific Emo-Punk art style or themed, there are not so many in anime.
I tried to look it up myself and couldn't find a list Emo-Rock-Punk themed anime, besides the popular ones that everyone knows like Death Note and NANA.

The "Emo" or "Punk" in this Interest stack is defined by the characters' outfits, their lifestyles or their surroundings (the setting era).
Cyberpunk, Steampunk, Lolita excluded.

Honorable Mention: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure

Shoujo--like all demographics--is incredibly varied, featuring a wide mix of stories, genres and themes. Its protagonists are no exception, with different personalities and backgrounds, and having both girls and guys in leading roles. I wanted to highlight some shoujo anime written from a male POV.

Also, I can't attest to the quality of the lower/more obscure series on here (especially since shoujo manga tend to receive pretty trash adaptations). So do keep that in mind.

And I should clarify that Cowboy Bebop and Code Geass are both actually original anime that simply have earlier shoujo manga versions. They both had promotional shoujo manga that began running a few months before their respective anime began airing.

Adaptations of manga that were published by Shojo Beat. No second seasons or sequels are included, however remakes are. Some of the manga are adaptations of visual novels or light novels but this is composed of any manga that has a counterpart anime.

Through hours and hours combing through interest stacks, Wikipedia, online rankings, and various MyAnimeList pages, I've finally compiled the ultimate music stacks, carefully sorted and ordered with love. The love comes from watching these characters in their ensembles giving it their all on their instruments, and from being a musician myself.

𝐑𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐬
No music videos or MV-structured anime (e.g. Alien Stage, Milgram), and only one title per story-line. Which means that a franchise with stories starring separate main characters can have several titles in the list.

𝐒𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠
1–12. Girl Bands
13–20. Boy Bands
21–25. Mixed Bands
26–28. Jazz anime
29–32. Hip hop anime
33–36. Traditional Japanese Music
37–50. Western Classical Music *

*Sub-sorted into Soloists (4 titles), Orchestra anime (6), Choir anime (2), and Scifi (2).

𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬
There is so much notable music anime so I've broadened this stack into a trilogy. This 1st part mainly covers bands anime featuring music makers, such as rock bands. It also covers classical orchestra anime and similar titles. The 2nd part covers idol anime. The 3rd part covers singer anime, dance anime, and various music related anime.

If you're tired of cliffhangers in your Shoujo and josei anime, this is the list for you! Sometimes these series are completed by OVAs/Movies, so make sure to check to see which of these have those so you can get as much of the story as you can.

Additionally, some films are able to fully adapt shorter manga. These films include:

- Gold Kingdom and Water Kingdom
- Hotarubi no Mori e
- From up on poppy hill
- Only Yesterday
- Whisper of the Heart
- The Cat Returns

___________

*Honorable mention for Natsume's book of friends which has 7 seasons of anime and various movies/OVAs, but due to the length of the manga it is still technically not "complete" to its ending.

*Honorable mention for Chihayafuru which has 3 seasons of anime and various movies/OVAs, but due to the length of manga it is still incomplete.
