New Interest Stack
Interest StacksThey may be exceptionally intelligent, possess Superhuman strength, hypersonic Speed & Agility… But some of them are also fearful, aloof, ditzy, clumsy, lazy, gluttonous, greedy, childish and/or terribly near-sighted: Cyborgs, Robots, Androids, A. I. Projections who - on second glance - are NOT that 'perfect' after all but rather more similar to any living Human of Flesh & Blood, and that's probably why we tend to fall for them so easily... A list of action anime where the main fighting protagonist is female. A stack anime series and movies (mostly Ghibli) that have a female protagonist from my completed anime list. OVAs and movies that aired in Spain's TV channels (public or private), listed with the Spanish title. Might be missing some or be messy: I wanted to add the most important but also the less obvious. Anime that aired in Britain on TV. Does not include streaming, home release, etc. Some air dates are included. Kick back with your choice of inebriant or lack thereof and have some fun watching action heroes battle it out with all sorts of weapons, explosives, superpowers and machines. OVAs aren't usually very long so you don't even need to commit. You don't need to think too much and don't take it so seriously. These shows are all about having a good time and maybe some laughs along the way. I remember going to the video store, browsing the shelves, and picking out a movie based on the box art alone. I'd look at the front, I'd look at the back, and more often than not I'd put it back on the shelf. Occasionally there'd be something like Ghost in the Shell or Ninja Scroll, and I knew I just had to rent it, or more accurately get my parents to rent it. In the dawn of the digital age, many creators have expressed their hopes and fears about technology and its influence on human society through science fiction anime, creating many interesting interepretations of what our future could be (or even what our present is) with regards to the ever accelerating integration of technology into our lives. The female equivalent to manly anime. Basically, series that represent these same characteristics, but with a female protagonist or a primarily female cast. Part 2 of my list of anime which are considerably low in typical tropes. The 1990s are considered a golden age for Japanese anime. Anime series and OVAs that have had a lasting impact on the evolution of anime style and culture. |
