Star Ocean EX

Good fantasy line, somewhat similar relations.  

A guy from another dimension came to other world, meet new friends and become a hero. 

Based on a popular JRPG. Star Ocean franchise. The story of SH and SO both involve an amnesiac person in some way. In SO, our main hero must find a way back to his own world but also prevent this world's destruction. Along the way he meets companions who joins his quest.  

Both are based on popular Square Enix jrpgs that share characters in an area unknown to them with high octane action and powerful special abilities.  

Character is taken from his/her own world to another full of magical and supernatural phenomenon and they grow and train in order to realize their destiny in this new world 

In both series, the main character is taken to another world. Both characters realize that they have a great destiny in this world and become stronger in order to fulfill this destiny. 

Similar factors- struggling hero, fights, action and adventure. I prefer hunter x hunter though.  

both are based on PS2 RPGs in which there are those half beasts and cute girls in the party with those amazing swords and cryptic/poetic clues some beautiful/whoever it was leave behind to save the world... etc. etc. etc.... ^_^ theay also have the letter "X" on their titles and starts at letter "S" ^_^ 

if you played the game "arc the lad collection" on ps1 then youve watch the "arc the lad" anime then i recommend "star ocean ex" because its also a game in ps1 "star ocean till the end of time" 

Both are passable adaptations of fantastic RPG's. Though they did a better job overall with Symphonia. 

both from rpgs ^^, but star ocean doesnt tell the whole story, its only about the first cd, both anime are worth the time if u like this kind of metal
