| I'm really excited for this. Figure skating is one of my favorite sports; it brings me back to the time when I was involved with the figure skating fandom for a while. It's not a sport you usually see in anime either - the only other figure skating anime I can think of is Ginban Kaleidoscope. The animation and the choreography look beautiful, and I love the character designs. Coming from MAPPA and directed by Sayo Yamamoto... I have high hopes for this. |

| what the heck, for a minute there i thought it was yaoi. you seemed to be confused here writers, it's YURI ON ICE. dumbos smh anyway i had already planned on seeing this ever since it was announced. as i expected, the sakuga is amazing and relies heavily on character animation, something i had also predicted. the character designs look cool (the glasses nigga looks like that MC from parasyte!), but my body is so ready for that sakuga. that's my only reason for watching it. i feel bad for anyone who expected plot, like some foolishly did for stride. |

| I cannot grasp the idea people seem to have about how sports' anime (or any series where the cast mainly consists of the male gender) are homoerotic. Similar to Free! or Kuroko no Basket, this will likely support nil romantic interactions between the characters. If we would go by this sentiment, every singular group of men friendly with one another must be homosexual — which is of course untrue. I have yet to see the homoerotic side of this which people press on at all times. Either way, this will be one of the anime I will be watching for next season. I adore the character design, and I adore figure-skating. |
